Don't think I mentioned my exam results from the Fall semester. I ended up with four A's and one A-, so my GPA now sits at 3.934 after 50 credits, which is groovy (for NZ readers, GPA stands for grade point average - the maximum attainable is a 4.0). The A- was for the Federal Taxation exam which I knew would be relatively hard, and was certainly not helped by the fact the exam was delayed until early January because of the MTA strike action in late December - most likely would have scored an A if not for that delay and the holiday in the interim - I mean seriously, who the hell is going to study while on vacation?

Apparently I'll be included in the National Dean's List this year. I thought the Dean's List was just some internal thing for each college / university only, but apparently not - according to the letter they just sent me, I'm in the top ½ a percent of the students from over 2,500 colleges and universities across the United States. I guess that'll look good on the resumé. I was just checking out their website - interesting to note in the 2003 list, 72% of the recipients were female. I suspected as much. Speaks volumes doesn't it... and still the bulk of CEO's etc are male.

It's my birthday today btw. Happy birthday me. Nothing special planned - we're supposed to go into the Plaza (a shopping center in Brooklyn) to return some stuff to Macys we ordered online (didn't fit right) and maybe watch a movie. I actually want to see The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie - I enjoyed the C.S.Lewis series of books when I was little, so I'm hoping the movie is good too. Yeah, some might say it's a girly kids movie, but I don't give a toss. hehe. Cheers.
