heat We've been getting some really hot weather here lately, and we've just started into another heatwave - it's currently just over 30°C here atm and getting hotter as the day progresses (high expected around mid 30's). The current forecast for tomorrow and the day after are for temperatures to hit 101°F, which is about 38°C, this however does not take into account humidity, which makes it feel a lot hotter than the same temperature would feel in a place with dry conditions such as a frigging desert. The expected humidity for the next two days kicks that temperature up to a whopping 130°F or 55°C - too hot to do anything but wait it out indoors imho ..Ice likes it that hot though - Ice being the highly significant other, not frozen water. Ironic really.

scholarship and final grades

Hello. I have some good news and some more good news. First up is that I just found out I've been awarded a full scholarship for the next two years to complete my degree. Totally stoked! A total of 15 students were awarded the Presidential Scholarship, and I was one of them. I will still receive Federal and State financial aid as well, so everything combined should cover all my tuition costs and then some. Awesome huh. Joy.

The other good news is regarding my final grades last semester. I just received an email - there was some sort of mistake with the grading of the final exam for one subject - Microcomputer Accounting Applications (the one I was a little surprised about getting an A- for after getting a straight A average throughout the semester). As a result, I now have a final grade of A for that subject, which gives me a perfect 4.0 GPA for last semester, and a cumulative GPA of 3.952 for the two years of study and my Associate Degree. Sweet.
